I’m kind of loving all the snowy mountain elopements that I’ve been doing recently! Snow is my favorite thing ever…I love walking in it, snowshoeing, skiing, heck I even love shoveling my driveway! 😉 Rose and Shawn fully embraced the snow during their elopement yesterday.
They drove all the way to Colorado from Texas – what a road trip! I love that they chose to drive to that they could pace their travels, stop when they wanted to, stay wherever they wanted. Plus, we had a massive snow storm over the weekend and Denver International Airport had dozens of cancelled flights, so they got to miss out on all that stress! Shawn and Rose stayed and got ready in a cozy little cabin on the river in Estes Park. After a few photos at their cabin, we headed into the woods for their elopement ceremony. We found the perfect spot, nestled among the pine trees and evergreens. It just so happened to have a perfect view of the mountains beyond the frozen lake, it was so picturesque!
Rose did such a great job styling her outfit, I give her lots of credit for combining style with functionality. If you’re going to elope in the snow, you’ve got to come prepared and Rose absolutely was! I especially loved her fur-trimmed gloves and her shawl. Don’t get me wrong, she was still cold (with the windchill, it was about 10 degrees!) but she didn’t get frostbite and she looked amazing so I considering that a win!
